Cancer Screening and Prevention Forum
The Cancer Institute NSW, in collaboration with Iris Education, invite you to this free Cancer Screening and Prevention Forum to be staged in Sydney on Saturday 23rd September 2017. The day is divided into two sections with the first half devoted to cervical screening and the second to broader cancer screening and prevention. You may participate in person or by joining through live streaming on mobile phone, tablet or computer.

The Morning - The National Cervical Screening Program (NCSP) Renewal
The morning sessions will provide a detailed discussion of the upcoming National Cervical Screening Program Renewal with unpacking of the rationale and evidence driving the changes, and applying these in practice. Case studies and a facilitated panel discussion will provide the opportunity to ask questions and assist participants to build knowledge and confidence to discuss the changes with their patients.

Full day attendance attracts 13 Category 2 RACGP QI&CPD points. Attendees have the choice of registering to attend the event located at ICC Sydney or to live stream the event with a high speed data connection.

- Unpacking the evidence: Australia and international - The big picture view of the NCSP renewal
- Applying the evidence: Clinical application (decision making, sample collection), dealing with women’s concerns and questions, explaining the evidence, special groups and pathway
- National Bowel Cancer Screening Program
- BreastScreen NSW
- SNAP risk factors -- smoking, nutrition, alcohol and physical activity
